Sadly it’s that time of year again. Our final fling will be to Torquay on Saturday 30th September. High tide is at 14.24hrs (2.7m) so I gather some are planning to push the flood tide whilst others might go down the day before. Either way, for those wishing to attend, there is the usual challenge laid down, which this year will be to design your own boat’s burgee.
You will be provided with a blank flag for you to decorate as you travel down. These will be available from the club from Friday morning in case you are going the day before. You may use paint, felt tip or glue things on, as you see fit. On arrival, you should hand it in to the Commodore on Celtic Breeze. I am told that the burgees will then be turned in to bunting, and the winner, selected by a judge chosen by the Commodore, will win a prize.
Looking forward to more settled weather!
